Key Responsibilities- Identify, modify, adjust, and repair mechanical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic parts and equipment.
- Read and interpret technical drawings or diagrams, including blueprints, schematics, and mechanical renditions.
- Utilize a variety of power tools, hand tools, gauging and measuring equipment safely and correctly.
- Improve equipment reliability to minimize downtime, improve efficiencies, and produce a high-quality product to specification in a safe and efficient manner.
- Participate in purchasing maintenance materials and outside technical services in accordance with established company protocol and procedures.
- Assist in the establishment and implementation of systematic preventative maintenance program with the Maintenance and Reliability Manager.
- Investigate equipment failures and unexpected breakdowns, providing corrective actions to improve reliability and performance.
- Monitor parts requests to ensure adequate inventory and cost efficiencies are being met according to the departmental budget.
- Lead Maintenance related CI (continuous improvement) tasks, reporting back to management with status updates.
- Facilitate selection of appropriate resources (contractors, suppliers, etc.) to minimize costs and assure on time and on budget completion.
- Ensure, enforce, and adhere to all legislative requirements.
- Enhance the motivation and team-spirit of all operation staff.
- Minimize the risk of accidents and pollution.
- Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, mechanical, and robotics systems.
- Able to read wiring diagrams, electrical/mechanical/pneumatic/hydraulic schematics, and ladder/function block logic.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Proficient in general math skills, including fractions and decimals.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of industrial PCs and PLCs (Siemens Step 7, Beckhoff Twin Cat) and electric circuits consisting of contractors, relays, main voltage/control voltage, limit switches, and proximity sensors, preferred.
- Detailed oriented individual capable of time and project management.
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical technology, mechatronics, engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience.
- 5 years or more experience in a maintenance supervisory position.
- Experience in highly automated manufacturing environments.
- Experience in working with ABB robots, preferred.
- Some fabrication experience, preferred.
