Role Overview
We are looking for a Nondestructive Testing Technician to lead our team of technicians and act as a technical expert within Amazon's data centers. The successful candidate will have the capability to create, implement, and execute innovative strategies to solve operational challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise medium-sized projects from initiation to completion, ensuring independent and collaborative work with various stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of safety and security while maintaining a focus on operational availability.
- Utilize internal systems to manage and oversee the daily execution of Nondestructive Testing maintenance across assigned facilities.
- Provide training and mentorship to fellow Nondestructive Testing Technicians.
- Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to non-technical audiences.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent technical qualification.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the electrical or mechanical sector.
- Experience in data center or mission-critical environments.
Preferred Skills
Additional qualifications that would be advantageous include:
- Strong foundational knowledge in physical principles such as optics and thermodynamics.
- 2-4 years of experience in a Nondestructive Testing discipline.
- ASNT level II or III certification in a relevant field.
