We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team at Avery Animal Hospital. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our veterinarians in delivering high-quality medical services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and training to medical support staff in the operation of a small animal facility.
  • Assist veterinarians with medical procedures, including surgery, anesthesia, and patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical history, treatment plans, and test results.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing education and support on animal care and health.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on the latest veterinary techniques and technologies.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in veterinary technology or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 18 months of experience as a veterinary technician or in a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, veterinarians, and support staff.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods, with frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
