About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Repairman 2 to join our team at the Southeast Youth Development Center. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing semi-skilled and skilled work in various trades, including carpentry, plumbing, painting, masonry, and electrical trades.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair buildings, grounds, and equipment to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for residents and staff.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, heating, and cooling system maintenance, as well as landscaping and snow removal.
  • Assist in the maintenance of commonwealth vehicles and perform repairs and installations as needed.
  • Work in the facility water and waste water treatment plant, where you will be trained to become a certified operator.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure that all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
  • Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 or four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades.
  • Valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions and meet the physical demands of the role.
