Position Overview:
Under the guidance of the Physical Medicine Supervisor, you will conduct thorough assessments and develop tailored treatment plans for patients across all age groups, adhering to established departmental protocols.
  • Conduct initial evaluations for each patient upon referral.
Ensure accurate documentation in accordance with departmental standards.
  • Implement suitable modalities, exercise programs, or treatment techniques as per departmental guidelines.
  • Engage in educational initiatives within the department.
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by the Inpatient Physical Medicine Supervisor.
  • Exhibit an understanding of the unique needs and behaviors of various age demographics, including neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Qualifications:
Education:
Master's Degree in Speech/Language Pathology

Licensure:
Possession of a current or provisional Speech Language Pathologist license in the relevant state of practice.

Certifications:

Certification from the American Speech and Hearing Association is required within one year of employment, with possible extensions at the discretion of leadership and clinical fellowship supervisor. BLS certification is also required, and all certifications must be up-to-date prior to independent patient care.


Additional Requirements:
Ability to respond effectively to emergency situations.

Preferred Experience:
A minimum of one year of experience is preferred, particularly in providing care to patients of all ages.
