Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Infection Preventionist to join our team at York South Nursing & Rehab in York, PA. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing an effective Infection Prevention and Control Program (IPCP) to ensure the quality of patient care and prevent the spread of infections.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the IPCP to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular infection control audits and provide education to staff on infection prevention practices.
  • Investigate and manage outbreaks of infectious diseases, and develop strategies to prevent future occurrences.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement policies and procedures related to infection prevention and control.
  • Provide training and education to staff on infection prevention and control practices, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current registered nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing.
  • Minimum of three years full-time or equivalent nursing experience.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet with employees working evening and night shifts.
