Orthopedic Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Orthopedic Injury Clinic team at Washington University in St. Louis. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care, working closely with our orthopedic specialists to deliver exceptional care to our patients.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including obtaining patient history, performing patient assessments, and developing and implementing patient-centered plans of care.
- Manage health conditions via prescriptive authority or referral to other healthcare providers or community resources.
- Provide counseling and education to patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options, and community resources.
- Monitor and ensure accuracy of patient medical records, maintaining all required reports, records, statistics, and other relevant documentation.
- Work in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, and safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
- Nurse Practitioner: Master of Science in Nursing with emphasis in the Nurse Practitioner program, Advanced Practical Nurse licensure, and Basic Life Support certification.
- Physician Assistant: Graduate of PA program, current PA licensure to practice in the state of Missouri and/or Illinois, and Basic Life Support certification.
