Job Title: Senior RF Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior RF Systems Engineer to join our team at Raytheon. As a key member of our Effectors Systems Design & Architecture (SDA) organization, you will be responsible for designing and developing RF systems that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain RF system and subsystem level requirements and interface specifications.
  • Provide technical expertise in RF integration, verification, and validation, troubleshooting, and failure investigations.
  • Lead technical discussions and formulate plans of action by leveraging company Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across multiple engineering disciplines.
  • Lead technical conversations with the customer and suppliers.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and five (5) years of experience in one or more of the following technical domains:
  • Systems engineering, architecture, and/or design
  • RF Sensor sub-systems requirements, integration, and verification
  • Algorithms and signal processing related to RF subsystems
  • Electronics (RF circuit card assemblies, subassemblies, complete systems) requirements, integration, and verification
  • Configurable Logic / Firmware / VHDL architecture, design, development, integration, and verification related to RF subsystems
  • Experience performing requirements definition, decomposition, and changes
  • Experience capturing system requirements and maintaining system requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Understanding of and experience across the Systems Engineering Product Development Cycle
  • Ability to perform trade studies to optimize system performance
  • Experience evaluating and mitigating technical risks
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including experience giving technical briefs or presentations
  • Work experience in a challenging fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Matlab, C, C#, C++, Python

We offer a competitive salary range of $77,000 - $163,000 and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply. RTX anticipates the application window closing approximately 40 days from the date the notice was posted.
