Flight Software Development Manager

As the Flight Software Development Manager at Blue Origin, you'll oversee the definition and development of all future New Shepard software. Your key responsibilities will include managing directly assigned personnel, defining the software roadmap and strategy for the New Shepard Integrated Ground System software development, and defining and managing the assigned NS Integrated Ground System full lifecycle schedule, budget, and direct and indirect personnel.
You'll also be responsible for defining and advising on execution of software engineering efforts supporting autonomous human-rated space flight, leading definition of flight software architectures for robust and real-time software systems, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to define software requirements, architectures, and designs.
The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in flight software development, with prior experience managing personnel, systems integration, and hardware-in-the-loop/software-in-the-loop testing. They should also possess excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, as well as experience working with and leading cross-functional teams in a diverse work environment.
The salary for this position is $136,620.00-$191,268.00 per year, based on location and experience.
