MRI Aide/Front Desk Specialist

This position will be assigned to the MRI department at Athens Orthopedic Clinic and will also involve some patient care in the back area.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Position patients for exams in the most effective way possible to ensure best views on exam.
  • Ensure all exams are completed in a safe manner.
  • Consult with physicians and other staff regarding any questions related to patient exams.
  • Effectively communicate with customers with questions or appointments.
  • Accurately make follow-up appointments for patients as necessary.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families.
  • Manage daily schedules of clinics, ensuring patients are scheduled properly and therapists are blocked off correctly.
  • Collect co-pays and co-insurances from patients and create deposits for the bank.
  • Track referring physicians and other statistics.
  • Manage patient accounts, including medical record requests, charge corrections, and HCFA's.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulations, billing, charges, and collections.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software - Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Track record of exceptional customer service.
  • Front Desk experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
