Job Summary

Catholic Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Employee Health Services team. As an Occupational Health Nurse, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and well-being of our employees, volunteers, and medical staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Comprehensive Pre-Placement Screenings: Conduct thorough pre-placement screenings on new hires and arrange for physical examinations by an appointed Employee Health physician.
  • Administer and Interpret Mantoux Tests: Administer and interpret Mantoux tests, reporting and handling positive cases according to policy and with consultation with Infection Control and other resources.
  • Evaluate and Examine Employees: Evaluate and examine employees returning to work from a medical leave of absence, who have been out of work more than three days or whenever there has been a medical change which may affect the employee's ability to work.
  • Provide First Aid Treatment: Administer first aid treatment in the office, referring serious cases to the hospital emergency department or as directed by the employee's healthcare coverage.
  • Track and Monitor Employee Compliance: Track, monitor, follow-up and report on employee compliance with employee health policies and state and federal regulations.
  • Maintain Confidentiality: Ensure confidentiality of all Employee Health, legal, budget and Catholic Medical Center matters.
  • Perform Clerical Functions: Perform clerical functions, including maintaining documentation logs and ensuring the confidentiality of employee health records.
  • Participate in Committees: Participate on committees and attend educational programs to stay up-to-date on the latest occupational health best practices.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
  • Experience: A minimum of five years general nursing experience with at least one year emergency department, ICU or acute care setting. Occupational/Employee Health experience preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current registration in the State of NH as a Registered Nurse. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
