Job Summary

We are seeking an Electronics Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Penn State University. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of electronics manufacturing technologies and be able to work closely with a multi-disciplinary team to identify and address manufacturing problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform research and development tasks in electronics manufacturing
  • Support the development of a compelling vision for electronics manufacturing technology efforts
  • Execute and develop technical strategies expanding the use of electronics in defense platforms
  • Work with DoD program offices, laboratories, and industry electronics manufacturers to identify manufacturing problems and develop solutions
  • Maintain familiarity with leading edge electronics technology and manufacturing techniques
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or Science discipline
  • Five years related experience
  • Ability to travel up to 30%
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in one or more of the following: semiconductor device/integrated circuit manufacturing, microelectronics and packaging, printed circuit board/printed circuit board assembly manufacturing, RF/MMW electronics manufacturing, DoD electronic systems
  • Ability to lead diverse technical teams and perform independent work
Work Environment

The work location is at the Electro-Optics & Electronics Division in Freeport, PA. The candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must be a U.S. citizen.
