Polysomnographic Technologist or Polysomnographic Technician

Job Summary:

As a Polysomnographic Technologist or Polysomnographic Technician at Marshfield Clinic Health System, you will play a vital role in providing sleep care services to patients. You will work under the direction of a provider and follow established protocols to perform Polysomnograms (PSG), Multiple Sleep Latency Tests (MSLT), Maintenance Wakefulness Tests (MWT), and Unattended Sleep Studies. You will be responsible for acquiring and maintaining special technical skills and medical knowledge to render quality patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform Polysomnograms (PSG), Multiple Sleep Latency Tests (MSLT), Maintenance Wakefulness Tests (MWT), and Unattended Sleep Studies
  • Acquire and maintain special technical skills and medical knowledge
  • Work under the direction of a provider and follow established protocols
  • Provide sleep care services to patients
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate of a CAAHEP (Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs) accredited polysomnographic technology program
  • One year experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), Certified Respiratory Technician (CRT), Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist (END), or Polysomnographic Technologist
  • Certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (BRPT) as a registered polysomnographic technologist (RPSGT)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two years' experience as a Polysomnographic Technologist
  • Associate degree with emphasis in polysomnography, respiratory care or electroneurodiagnostic technology
