- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related discipline is mandatory; a master's degree is advantageous.
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education for middle school is essential.
- Experience in working with students with diverse learning needs, including those with learning disabilities, emotional/behavioral disorders, and/or intellectual disabilities.
- Familiarity with special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Strong comprehension of various learning styles and the capability to differentiate instruction accordingly.
- Exceptional communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents/guardians, and fellow educators.
- Understanding of behavioral management strategies and techniques.
- Flexibility and adaptability in addressing the diverse needs of students.
- Patience, empathy, and a sincere commitment to fostering the academic and social-emotional development of students.
- Proficiency in utilizing technology to enhance instruction and monitor student progress.
- Experience in developing and implementing IEPs.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
