Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement medication therapy plans to optimize patient outcomes
  • Provide consultation and education to healthcare teams on medication use and management
  • Conduct medication use evaluations and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement policies and procedures related to medication use
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and guidelines in clinical pharmacy practice
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a pharmacist in the State of Iowa
  • Graduation from an accredited School of Pharmacy
  • Completion of 1 year's pharmacy internship
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
  • Ability to work cooperatively within a healthcare team
  • Ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule
  • Ability to set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond quickly to emergency requests
  • Ability to exercise sound professional judgment and communicate effectively
