Key Responsibilities:

As a Crisis Intervention Specialist, you will:
  1. Manage incoming Lifeline calls and gather essential information from callers.
  2. Conduct assessments and coordinate appropriate interventions as necessary.
  3. De-escalate crisis situations over the phone with compassion and understanding.
  4. Develop practical and effective safety plans while ensuring follow-up actions are completed.
  5. Maintain knowledge of community resources to assist callers effectively.
  6. Document interactions accurately and thoroughly.

Work Environment:

This position is primarily remote, with the expectation of attending in-office meetings as required. Candidates must be flexible to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight hours, with additional compensation for overnight shifts.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • The ability to pass a background check.
  • Proof of auto liability insurance as per WMMHC policies.
  • A valid Montana Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Preferred: At least one year of relevant experience in human services.
