Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. This role plays a critical part in maintaining and controlling the company's financial processes and ensuring the accuracy of financial data.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for numbers. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned accounting professional to apply their skills in a challenging and rewarding environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Conduct regular ledger processes, reconciling balance sheets and managing budget processes.
  • Perform monthly variance analysis and provide detailed reports to management.
  • Assist in the development of financial plans and budgets.
  • Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and internal policies.
  • Liaise with external auditors and manage internal audits.
  • Analyze financial trends and forecast business needs.
  • Participate in preparation for the annual audit.
  • Provide insightful information and expectations to senior executives to aid in long-term and short-term decision making.
  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a similar role within the Manufacturing industry.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and financial reporting.
  • Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with accounting software.
  • Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle high levels of pressure and critical decision-making.
  • High integrity with an unwavering commitment to ethical behavior.
  • Professional certification such as CMA, CPA, or similar is considered a plus.
