Job Role: As a Assembler Technician, you will be responsible for assembling complex equipment, preparing components, and ensuring quality control at Workforce Solutions Permian Basin.
Key Tasks:
- Prepare tanks with necessary connections, plumbing, and plugs for functional operation.
- Test, fix, and prepare dryers for the next process step, including thorough leak testing and component replacement as needed.
- Prepare compressors by adding required fluids, performing visual inspections, and setting up electrical connections for optimal pressure.
- Utilize pipe threader machines to create custom pipe diameters and lengths according to specifications.
- Perform precise hole-making operations on skids using drill bits and following provided schematics.
- Install electrical boxes, conduit pipes, and components for efficient wiring of skids.
- Collaborate with peers to assemble large equipment pieces on skids while adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Study job orders, travelers, and drawings to identify necessary machining, welding, and assembly operations.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough inspections of subassemblies and finished products to ensure quality standards are met, and work closely with the quality team to address any issues that arise.
- Accurately record inspection results and mark defective parts for repair or replacement.
Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- Ability to interpret assembly drawings is essential.
- Prior experience working with hand tools and measuring tapes is beneficial.
- Military experience and training with an honorable discharge can be advantageous.
- A successful background and drug screen check is required.
Working Conditions:
- Frequent manual dexterity is required.
- Standing, walking, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling are common physical activities.
- Lifting up to 50 pounds (with occasional lifts up to 100 pounds with assistance) is part of the job.
- The job exposes workers to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and extreme temperatures.
- Climbing equipment and ladders, lifting tools and components weighing up to 50 pounds is required.
