As a Senior Wound Care Nursing Coordinator - Skincare Specialist, you will be part of a nursing community of professionals dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. You will collaborate with clinical leadership, wound specialists, vendors, and other teams to effectively communicate with patients and their families regarding the prevention and management of skin and wounds.

This highly specialized position comes with a strong emphasis on education and involves supporting central supply as the clinical expert for skin, wound, and incontinent products. Additionally, you will provide oversight for durable medical equipment related to the prevention and management of wounds.

Key Highlights:

  • Lead and integrate a fully developed Skin Health and Wound Management Program
  • Utilize Evidenced-Based Guidelines
  • Access a robust formulary for all skin and wound interventions/treatment categories
  • Have advanced technology for wound photography with automated incident/prevalence reporting available

  • Possess the ability to actively engage in enhancing the skin and wound program
  • Collaborate, integrate, and support nursing center skin and wound efforts with an interdisciplinary team
  • Advance your skill set with internal skin and wound trainings
  • Participate in a bonus program for achieving nursing center skin health and pressure injury prevention goals and objectives
  • Receive reimbursement for wound certification and annual fees

Genesis offers a desirable Monday-Friday dayshift schedule (with occasional evening/weekend hours). We offer a salary of approximately $87,000 - $90,000 per year. A RN license is required, with completion of Skin Health Team Lead orientation training and Wound Basics within 90 days of hire. National accredited wound certification is also required, with commitment to complete Advanced Wound Training and certification within one year of hire. Clinical experience in a skilled nursing setting is strongly preferred, as is discharge planning experience and knowledge of national wound guidelines and wound products.
