Lecturer - Partnership Schools Program, Thurgood Marshall College

We are seeking a highly qualified Lecturer to join our team at Thurgood Marshall College, UC San Diego. The successful candidate will teach TMC 120 (Partnership Schools Program) and contribute to the development of our students.
The Partnership Schools Program is a community-engaged learning course that focuses on the impact of historical, systemic, and institutionalized inequities on educational opportunities for students who are underrepresented in four-year institutions in the United States. The course readings, lectures, guest speakers, in-class dialogue, and out-of-class community-engaged learning focuses on the formal schooling experiences and outcomes of the student populations that are served by the Partnership Schools.
As a Lecturer, you will be responsible for teaching a small seminar-style course, leading discussions, and guiding students in their learning. You will also be expected to contribute to the development of the course and program, including curriculum design and assessment.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in education, educational access, and educational equity. You should have research experience in education and teaching experience in a university setting.

Responsibilities

- PhD or terminal degree in a pertinent field

- Teaching experience in a university setting
- Experience working with diverse student populations
