Job Description

Legent Health is seeking a highly skilled Director of Nursing to oversee the daily clinical operations of our centers. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the nursing staff, operating room, post-anesthesia care unit (PACU), and preoperative area, ensuring that policies are maintained and followed in accordance with established Federal and State regulations, as well as our company's policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff, promoting a culture of safety and quality.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration between departments, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Develop and implement patient care policies and procedures, evaluating quality and standards of patient care in conjunction with medical staff, Medical Director, and Administrator.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of preoperative assessment procedures, ensuring 100% adherence to established protocols.
  • Ensure discharge instructions and education are provided to patients 100% of the time.
  • Manage and maintain auditing of controlled substances, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Assist in preparing staffing, operating, and capital budgets annually, monitoring monthly financial reports to ensure the unit remains within established budget.
  • Ensure adequate staffing and scheduling, promoting a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
  • Interview, hire, and supervise new employees, promoting ongoing staff development and collaboration.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure the highest level of care for specific patient populations, resolving patient, family, or physician complaints in coordination with service excellence and patient satisfaction standards.
  • Act as liaison, communicating between facility staff, and committee activities, including performance improvement, risk management, infection control, medical executive committee, and governing board.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science (BSN) preferred.
  • Current and valid registered nurse license required.
  • CPR certification required.
  • At least 5 years' total clinical experience; with two years in nursing administration/OR management; computer skills.
  • Experience in outpatient healthcare operations or similar service environments preferred.
