About the Role

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a highly skilled Certified Fetal Echo Sonographer to join our team in Nashville. As a key member of our Maternal Fetal Medicine clinic, you will work closely with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for ultrasound examinations and ensure their comfort and cooperation throughout the process.
  • Conduct ultrasonic diagnostic procedures and record anatomical, pathological, and physiological data for interpretation by a physician.
  • Assist physicians during invasive procedures requiring ultrasound guidance.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to strict standards of professionalism.
  • Code services performed and submit billing worksheets daily.
  • Notify Patient Service Associates of additional services requiring authorization.
  • Maintain proper operation of ultrasound equipment and recognize malfunctions.
  • Responsible for inventory management and maintaining archives/records scans.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public.
  • Act in a non-directive, non-judgmental manner, respecting individual beliefs and opinions.
  • Comply with safety and security training, OSHA standards, and regulations.
  • Participate in staff development, in-service workshops, and educational activities.
  • Participate in professional development activities and meetings.
  • Maintain professional affiliations and certifications.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in fetal echo sonography.
  • Current/valid certification in diagnostic ultrasound.
  • Satisfactory completion of an approved ultrasonography educational program or equivalent experience.
  • Current fetal echo certification.
  • Eligibility for certification with the American Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer.
  • Continuing education credits to fulfill accreditation requirements.
