Recreational Therapist

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Recreational Therapist to join our team in a PRN capacity. As a Recreational Therapist, you will provide ancillary therapy assessments and consults, group activity therapy sessions, and develop and implement therapeutic activity sessions. You will also be responsible for carrying a case load, completing all related documentation, and assisting with the development of a related program strategy and monitoring and evaluating patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Provide ancillary therapy assessments and consults
• Lead group activity therapy sessions
• Develop and implement therapeutic activity sessions
• Carry a case load and complete all related documentation
• Assist with the development of a related program strategy and monitoring and evaluating patient outcomes

Requirements:

• Certified or eligibility for certification as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist
• One to two years of previous experience preferred
• Good communication skills and ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Basic clerical skills and experience with office equipment
• Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions
• Ability to problem solve and accept feedback
