Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at MedExpress, a leading provider of urgent care services. As an LPN, you will play a critical role in ensuring the well-being of our patients and providing a positive, supportive environment while working in conjunction with physicians, advanced practice clinicians, and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete provider orders per state and provider regulations
  • Assist the provider with examinations, procedures, and other duties
  • Screen and accurately document patient information, including medical history and current symptoms
  • Prepare and administer prescribed medications, including IV medications and fluid administration, as directed by the medical provider
  • Oversee and coordinate daily patient care flow, ensuring efficient and effective care delivery
  • Assist patients with walking, transfer, specimen collection, and exam preparation as needed
  • Complete occupational health testing, including urine drug screens, breath alcohol testing, and physicals
  • Complete patient referrals and callbacks daily
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school for Licensed Practical or Vocational Nursing
  • Current state LPN licensure and BLS/CPR certification
  • Maintain CEU/CMEs as applicable for licensure
  • 1+ years of direct patient care experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current IV Certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days if required by state
  • Experience in Urgent Care, Emergency Room, or Critical Care setting
  • Experience with venipuncture and lab specimen collections
