Overview

Emory Healthcare is a leading academic health system in Georgia, and we are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join our Interventional Radiology team in Diagnostic Radiology. This role will be primarily based at Emory Decatur Hospital with rotations at Emory Hillandale Hospital.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the evaluation and treatment of patients in Diagnostic Radiology
  • Perform physical examinations and specialized diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures under the direction of a physician
  • Conduct patient interviews and document patient histories, psychosocial histories, health status, and medical problems or potential problems
  • Provide education and informed consent to patients
  • Participate in inpatient and outpatient consultations and complete historical intakes, physical examinations, direct plans of care, and offer follow-up procedural care
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program
  • Currently licensed as an advanced practice nurse in the state of Georgia by the Georgia Board of Nursing and certified as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or equivalent body, or Certified as a Physician's Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
  • Minimum of two years' of direct experience in one or more high acuity clinical specialties
  • Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association and Healthcare Provider certifications required
