Financial Aid Counselor I

About the Role:

The Waldorf University Financial Aid Office is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Aid Counselor to join our team. As a Financial Aid Counselor, you will play a critical role in supporting our online students throughout the financial aid process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to online students and their families, addressing their financial aid concerns and questions.
  • Process and review financial aid applications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal and institutional regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other stakeholders regarding financial aid eligibility, awards, and requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Associate Director of Financial Aid - Online to develop and implement strategies to improve financial aid processes and student outcomes.
  • Assist with other tasks and projects as needed to support the Financial Aid Office.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of an Associate's Degree, Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for student/family interactions and documentation.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Software programs, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to adapt to online software and database programs.
