Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Shop Equipment Technician to join our team at Andersen Material Handling.

The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing and overhauling electric, diesel, gasoline, liquid propane, industrial lift trucks, and related material handling equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain parts and tool inventory supplied by the company.
  • Test faulty equipment and diagnose the extent and cause of malfunction.
  • Disassemble units and inspect parts for wear.
  • Repair or replace parts such as rods, gears, valves, and bearings.
  • Overhaul, replace, or rebuild varied lift truck components.
  • Maintain records of repairs and complete necessary paperwork.
  • Provide maximum customer satisfaction through quality workmanship in a timely and safe manner.
  • Promote and support all aspects of our Dealership.
  • Promote and maintain a professional image.
  • Show respect to customers, management, and all company personnel.
  • Manage time to obtain maximum efficiency/productivity.
  • Turn in paperwork timely, accurately, and legibly.
  • Participate in determining needs - training, inventory, tools, etc.
  • Maintain a safe work area and ensure compliance with OSHA rules and regulations.
  • Attain Raymond certifications and demonstrate high technical skill in all phases of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical knowledge and general equipment operation theory.
  • Participate in company training program, both on and off company time.
  • Account for 100% of work time.
  • Demonstrate good judgment and personal attitude, critical in maintaining our company's reputation for results-oriented service.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of experience in heavy equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
