Key Responsibilities:

Your commitment will help us achieve our goals in Child Welfare, ensuring that children and young adults are safer, healthier, and experience less trauma.

As an Evening Operations Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assigning Child Protective Services (CPS) assessments to after-hours caseworkers.
  • Providing support and guidance to caseworkers in their daily tasks.
  • Making critical decisions regarding the safety and well-being of children in care.
  • Maintaining clear communication with supervisors regarding case assignments.
  • Overseeing personnel matters, including recruitment, promotions, and performance evaluations.
  • Addressing employee concerns, recognizing outstanding performance, and implementing necessary disciplinary actions.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in human services or a related field and
    • one year of supervisory or progressively responsible experience in human services; or
  • A bachelor's degree in an unrelated field and
    • completion of coursework equivalent to certification consistent with Oregon Caseworker Competency and
    • one year of supervisory or progressively responsible experience in human services; or
  • An associate degree and
    • three years of experience in human services, including one year of supervisory or progressively responsible experience; or
  • An associate degree and
    • completion of coursework equivalent to certification consistent with Oregon Caseworker Competency and
    • one year of supervisory or progressively responsible experience in human services.

Essential Skills:

We seek candidates with the following experience:

  • Experience in Child Protective Services.
  • Skills in crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and behavior management.
  • Knowledge of policy implementation, including the Oregon Safety Model.
  • Demonstrated accountability and ownership of responsibilities and outcomes.
