Job Summary

The Risk Analyst III will oversee CF Industries' corporate-wide risk management and insurance programs, collaborating with cross-functional internal teams and external service providers. This role requires a subject matter expert to provide direct oversight of underwriting submissions, policy audits, contract reviews, and claim handling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Insurance Program Administration: Lead the collection of renewal information from internal stakeholders, prepare submissions for insurance policy placements, and create marketing materials.
  • Financial Planning and Budgeting: Manage budgeting and allocation of insurance charges among operating units and departments, track and report on insurance premiums and loss data as directed.
  • Policy Review and Analysis: Oversee the review of insurance policies to ensure compliance with negotiated terms and conditions, identify potential coverage gaps, and perform policy scenario analyses.
  • Claims Management: Facilitate communication with internal stakeholders on claims reporting and processing, ensuring understanding and compliance with global reporting procedures.
  • Loss Prevention and Risk Assessment: Coordinate loss prevention assessments, track execution of risk improvement plans, and oversee loss prevention reporting to carriers and brokers.
  • Vendor Management: Work with third-party administrators and brokers to effectively manage claims and process workflow, identifying cost-effective resolution options for routine claims.
  • Financial Management: Ensure accuracy and timely payment of invoices and payments from external parties for insurance payments due and return premiums or other credits.
  • New Business and Exposure Management: Support the monitoring of new areas of business and exposure, ensuring timely addition of new entities, properties, automobiles, and employees to current insurance policies.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Support assessments of new risk areas to determine appropriate insurance requirements, including construction and acquisition projects.
Requirements
  • Education: College degree in a related field required, with additional training in Risk Management/Insurance.
  • Experience: 3+ years of related professional experience in insurance/risk or related areas, including operations and finance, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.
  • Attributes: Prior risk management and insurance experience within a manufacturing/operations environment is preferred, along with demonstrated analytical and problem-solving acumen, working knowledge of commercial operations, risks, and business management fundamentals, and excellent organizational skills.
