Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse Specialist to join our Intensive Care Unit team at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. As a critical care expert, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the development of our unit's clinical practices.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires variable 12-hour shifts with 2 weekends per month. You will work closely with our experienced team of charge nurses and unit educators to deliver high-quality care to our patients.

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized plan-of-care intervention and serve as a patient-care innovator
  • Utilize your skills and our cutting-edge technology to directly impact patient wellbeing
  • Contribute to the development of our unit's clinical practices and policies
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Current state RN license
  • Associates or bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school
  • CPR Certification
  • ACLS Certification within 1 year
  • Basic Dysrhythmia Course within 1 year
  • Critical Care Course current or acquired within 1 year
  • Trauma Nurse Course within 1 year
  • PALS certification current or acquired within 2 years
  • CCRN current or acquired after 3 years preferred
  • Two years of acute care experience or One year of cardiac unit experience or greater than six months current employment as GN/RN in a critical care unit
