Neurological Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

Atria Physician Practice New York PC is a membership-based preventive health care practice delivering cutting-edge primary and specialty care from the comfort of your home, at our practices in Palm Beach and New York, or wherever you are in the world.
We bring together a multidisciplinary team of renowned, in-house physicians to provide proactive, preventive, and precision-based care for Atria members and their families. Our exceptional clinicians work closely with the 60+ members of the Atria Academy of Science & Medicine, top experts in their respective fields who are available for rapid consults, support, and referrals.
Core Responsibilities
- Partner with Atria physicians to provide exceptional care in a state-of-the-art facility, as well as providing care to our members in the comfort of their homes.
- Works collaboratively with CMOs (Chief Medical Officer) to provide Preventive Care, Well Visits & Comprehensive Health Assessments in the Institute, also with direct and indirect supervision for urgent Home Care visits.
- Adult Care NPs & PAs must have the ability to work fluidly and competently across multiple disciplines, with a primary focus in Neurology.
- Assist with the Brain Health program, concussion, headache and general neurology.
- Flexibility to work weekends and off hours for on-call coverage for home care visits and Institute coverage, as necessary.
- NPs & PAs must have ability to provide comprehensive Primary Care to the adult population.
- Is competent to provide care to members based upon the age groups treated.
- Adaptability to gain training and demonstrate competencies in a variety of Point of Care Testing modalities and devices.
- Flexibility to perform clinical, administrative and clerical tasks outside routine scope of practice.
- Opportunity to perform Exercise Physiology and Mobility Testing with Diers/Dari
- Providing Home Care Services for minor procedures, such as insertion of peripheral IV for medication administration, wound care, vaccinations and phlebotomy techniques.
- Documentation and appropriate maintenance of Medical Records for members
- Telehealth visits & Electronic prescribing of medications as needed.
- EMR data integration
- Opportunities for Growth & Development through involvement in various initiatives such as committees for Quality & Patient Safety, Protocol & Procedure Development and Review Processes
- Maintains a high-quality workforce to assist in the achievement of the Organization's Mission.
- Maintenance & upkeep of Professional Licenses, Certifications, DEA certification, State requirements and National Certifying Agencies credentials
- Participates in appropriate continuing medical education programs for maintenance of Continued Medical Education and CUEs for professional licensure.
Requirements
- Current License required as NP for specialty, or current Licensed PA
- 2+ years' experience as practicing NP or PA
- BLS certification from American Heart Association
- Capable and experienced with relevant procedures for proficiency in delivering care in specialty include
- Available for variable weekend on-call assignment
