The role of the PSR Specialist at KidsPeace is to provide Psychosocial Rehabilitation services for youth who have been assessed and determined to need these services.

The primary goal of these services is to support the child\u0027s/youth\u0027s developmentally appropriate functioning, enabling them to integrate into their family and community as an active and productive member.

The PSR Specialist will implement interventions on a treatment plan to address functional deficits and health barriers associated with the child/youth\u0027s behavioral health needs.

Activities will be hands-on and task-oriented, aimed at achieving the identified goals or objectives set forth in the child/youth\u0027s individualized treatment plan.

Requirements include being at least 18 years old and having a high school diploma, high school equivalency preferred, or a State Education Commencement Credential.

The PSR Specialist must receive regular supervision from a Licensed Behavioral Health Professional operating within the scope of their practice.

Supervisors must be aware of and sensitive to trauma-informed care and the cultural needs of the population of focus, and be capable of training staff regarding these issues.
