- As a Physician Assistant (PA) or Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) with a focus on Urology, you will play a crucial role in patient care. Your responsibilities will include assisting physicians in assessing patients, conducting thorough medical histories and physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications under physician supervision, and providing patient education.
This role requires active involvement in daily surgical rounds, conferences, clinics, and procedures, providing technical assistance and ensuring continuity of care during both scheduled and emergency situations.
Under direct supervision, the PA/APN will assist surgeons during operations, aiming for optimal patient outcomes.Additionally, the PA/APN is tasked with coordinating and delivering high-quality patient care in collaboration with physicians, residents, and nursing staff.
A Bachelor's Degree is required.Other:
Graduate of a Physician Assistant Program, NCCPA certification, and licensure in the State of Illinois are necessary qualifications.
