We are seeking a motivated and dedicated nursing student to join our team as a Nurse Extern I-Nursing Internship-PRN. This is an excellent opportunity for a currently enrolled nursing student to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Responsibilities- Provide a wide variety of services to customers under the direct supervision of nursing staff.
- Meet the requirements of a RN degree program, with a minimum GPA of 3.0, and provide unofficial transcript.
- Not be on academic probation and in good standing with current nursing program.
- Provide a letter of recommendation from a nursing instructor.
- Submit a 500-word essay identifying why they chose the field of nursing and how they apply the CHRISTUS Core Values to their individual practice.
- Have successfully completed both a "Fundamentals of Nursing" and at least one first-level Medical-Surgical course.
- AHA BLS certification required.
