Chief Financial Officer

The YWCA of Western Massachusetts is a leading organization dedicated to eliminating racism and empowering survivors. Our mission is to provide a safe and supportive environment for those affected by domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. As a key member of our team, the Chief Financial Officer will play a critical role in safeguarding our assets and ensuring the financial stability of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain financial and facility-related activities to ensure the financial health and sustainability of the YWCA.
  • Lead the development of and monitor the annual budget, including responsible management of debt and borrowing, financial statement preparation, and audit coordination.
  • Provide instruction and guidance to direct reports on proper financial methods and procedures, and monitor compliance.
  • Collaborate with the management team to ensure the Agency's strategic goals are met, and provide input into Agency direction, protocols, and strategic planning.
Requirements
  • MBA or finance-specific degree, such as accounting.
  • Minimum of five years' experience in coordinating audit activities, managing reporting, budget development, and analysis, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
  • Excellent analytic, communication, interpersonal, and supervisory skills.
  • High level of integrity, self-motivation, and reliability.
  • Five years or more experience with automated accounting systems.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
Physical Requirements

The successful candidate must be able to lift 40 pounds.
