Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Associate to join our team at First Horizon Bank. As an Accounting Associate, you will play a critical role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our Specialty Accounting group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation and review of financial reports, including period-end closing activities and quarterly/yearly reporting.
  • Accounting Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and detailed accounting records for assigned accounting areas, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
  • General Ledger Management: Post general ledger journal entries on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, and reconcile assigned balance sheet general ledger accounts.
  • Problem Resolution: Provide support for other accounting areas or departments by assisting with problem resolution and research related to assigned responsibilities.
  • Special Projects: Assist in special accounting projects and ad-hoc requests as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma, required; Higher level accounting courses from an accredited university/college, preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Intermediate Excel skills, including knowledge of formulas and Pivot tables.
  • Soft Skills: Strong verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills; attention to detail; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
