POSITION SUMMARY: The Field Technician is responsible for maintaining the quality and functionality of yard shifting trucks and their systems, as well as new features upon release. While the trucks will primarily operate autonomously through our Mobius Software, manual intervention may occasionally be necessary. This role requires travel to customer locations for installation, testing, troubleshooting, and training on our products and services.
Travel Requirements: Up to 75% travel is expected.
- Work will typically be conducted in an office environment or at testing sites, with significant travel across various regions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Engage with customers and end-users effectively.
- Comprehend the specifications of the product being tested, including user interaction.
- Provide insightful feedback on testing and operational performance.
- Oversee mechanical and electrical installations for future truck automation.
- Act as a primary contact for customers regarding issue resolution.
- Collaborate within a team-oriented environment with developers, testers, and business stakeholders to ensure optimal software delivery.
- Utilize sound judgment in assessing software readiness.
- Regularly lift and transport testing equipment.
- Navigate stairs, ladders, and maneuver around vehicles as needed.
- Participate in comprehensive testing with multiple teams prior to production deployment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Familiarity with traffic dynamics in warehouse environments.
- 1-3 years of experience as a Field Technician.
- Proficient in using Windows, Linux, or Unix operating systems.
- Experience with JIRA or similar bug tracking tools is preferred.
- Experience in an Agile work environment is advantageous.
- Background in testing desktop, client/server, and web applications is preferred.
- Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time is essential.
