Surgical Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Assistant to join our team at Asheboro Oral Surgery - High Point. As a key member of our specialty practice, you will play a vital role in ensuring excellent patient service and supporting our dentists in their daily tasks.
Responsibilities- Prepare the surgical area, instruments, and equipment for each procedure.
- Assist the surgeon during procedures by anticipating their needs and providing support as required.
- Keep surgical areas and instruments clean and sterilized to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
- Monitor and record patient vitals, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout their visit.
- Prepare and provide post-operative instructions and materials to patients, promoting their understanding and adherence to treatment plans.
- Help maintain inventory and order supplies as needed to ensure a smooth operation.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the surgeon or office manager, contributing to the overall success of our practice.
- At least 1-2 years of experience as a surgical assistant, with a preference for specialty experience.
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations, with the ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks.
- Good computer skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with patients and staff.
- Excellent communication and people skills, with a strong attention to detail and ability to work well in a team environment.
- A high school diploma and a certificate from an accredited surgical assistant program (if required by law).
- An active state radiology license (if required by law).
