Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at El Paso Behavioral Health System. As a LPN, you will provide high-quality patient care in a psychiatric setting, working under the direction of a Registered Nurse. This is a PRN role, offering flexibility and variety in your work schedule.
Responsibilities- Provide nursing care to assigned patients, utilizing a basic understanding of psychiatric and personality disorders.
- Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
- Conduct patient assessments, documenting observations and findings in the medical record.
- Participate in patient education and support groups, promoting a culture of recovery and wellness.
- Graduate from an accredited professional vocational school of nursing or vocational training as a Psychiatric Technician, preferably with education in Child and Adolescent Development.
- Minimum one (1) year as an LPN/LVN nursing preferred.
- Licensed to practice vocational/practical nursing in accordance with Texas State Board of Nursing.
- Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications.
- Successful completion of Handle With Care Training within 90 days of employment and prior to assisting with restraining procedures.
- Must have and maintain current CPR Certification.
