Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Estimator with a robust background in HVAC, Plumbing, or Electrical construction. The ideal candidate will excel in a fast-paced environment and possess the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop comprehensive bid proposals for various projects.
  • Train and mentor junior estimators within the electrical division on the bidding process and detailed take-offs.
  • Ensure material requirements are accurate and meet all specifications.
  • Address design challenges by collaborating with relevant personnel to facilitate timely resolutions.
  • Assist in negotiating project bids and estimating overall project costs.
  • Support the procurement process by negotiating materials and equipment purchases.
  • Conduct bid result evaluations and verify material pricing.
  • Review project contracts to ensure alignment with bid specifications.
  • Participate in job kick-off meetings with project management and foremen.
  • Continuously assess project projections in collaboration with management throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Perform periodic quality reviews of projects to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Engage in job closeout meetings to analyze historical data and maintain a comprehensive database.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating and quantity take-offs.
  • Proficient in developing detailed cost estimates and metrics.
  • Ability to independently plan and schedule cost implementations.
  • Experience in estimating electrical scopes of work and familiarity with current market pricing.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with trade partners, clients, and consultants.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting construction documents, including blueprints and specifications.
  • Experience with estimating software and tools is preferred.
