Chief of Urology Opportunity

A leading healthcare institution on Long Island is seeking an experienced and licensed Urologist to serve as the Chief of Urology in Suffolk County. This esteemed position offers a unique opportunity to lead a team of urologists and medical staff, driving excellence in patient care and advancing the field of urology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Direction: Provide strategic guidance to the urology department, ensuring alignment with the institution's goals and mission.
  • Clinical Supervision: Oversee the clinical activities of urologists and other medical staff, promoting high-quality patient care and adherence to established protocols.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement plans to enhance urologic care, incorporating advancements in technology and patient needs.
  • Financial Management: Manage the department's budget, resources, and cost control, ensuring fiscal responsibility.
  • Quality Monitoring: Evaluate the quality of urologic services, identifying areas for improvement and implementing measures to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Education and Training: Oversee educational programs for residents, medical students, and other healthcare professionals within the urology department.
  • Policies and Procedures: Develop and implement policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards of care.
  • Performance Evaluation: Conduct regular performance evaluations for urology department staff, providing feedback and facilitating professional development.
Qualifications:
  • Licensed to practice medicine in the State of New York.
  • Board Certified in Urology.
Desired Skills:
  • 3+ years of Urology experience.
  • Previous experience in a Leadership and/or Supervisory role.
