Employment Type: Per Diem

Role Objective: The primary aim of this role is to assist in the planning, organization, development, and direction of Speech Language Pathologist services, ensuring compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations, as well as guidelines set forth by the Director of Rehabilitation, Administrator, or Regional support team. Our goal is to maintain the highest standard of resident care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Speech Language Pathologist services to residents, adhering to established standards of practice and company protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with documentation and billing procedures for Speech Language Pathologist services.
  • Exhibit sound judgment in evaluating, planning, implementing, and following up on resident therapy programs.
  • Conduct regular screenings of residents to assess the need for intervention or treatment.
  • Evaluate residents to gather necessary data for effective treatment planning and execution.
  • Develop comprehensive treatment plans with clear short and long-term goals.
  • Communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans, and recommendations effectively to residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant documentation in accordance with CMS expectations using the NetHealth EMR system.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Possession of an active Speech Language Pathologist license in the state(s) of practice.
  • Commitment to ongoing education and professional development to uphold current licensure and certification.
