About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Retail Customer Service Representative to join our dynamic team at PCs for People. As the primary point of contact for customers, you will be responsible for assisting and guiding them throughout their technology shopping journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and Welcome Customers: Create a warm and inviting atmosphere in the store by greeting and welcoming customers with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Handle Customer Inquiries: Actively listen to customers' inquiries, concerns, and feedback, providing accurate and helpful information about products, promotions, and policies.
  • Process Transactions: Process customer transactions efficiently and accurately using the PCSCRM and point-of-sale (POS) system, handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods and verifying and documenting customer eligibility.
  • Handle Returns and Exchanges: Handle product returns, exchanges, and refunds in accordance with company policies, ensuring a smooth and positive resolution for the customer.
  • Maintain Store Environment: Maintain an organized and visually appealing store environment by arranging merchandise, restocking shelves, and ensuring product displays are attractive and well-maintained.
  • Address Customer Complaints: Address and resolve customer complaints or issues professionally, escalating to management when necessary to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Stay Up-to-Date: Stay up-to-date with product knowledge, promotions, and company policies to provide accurate and consistent information to customers.
  • Collaborate with Team Members: Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Assist with Inventory Management: Assist in inventory management by conducting regular stock checks and reporting discrepancies to management.
  • Participate in Training: Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance customer service skills and stay informed about new products and services.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a college degree is a plus.
  • Experience: Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach, strong problem-solving abilities, and the ability to handle challenging situations with tact and diplomacy.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using a computer, POS systems, and other retail software applications.
  • Availability: Flexible schedule, including availability to work weekends.
  • Physical Ability: Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderately heavy items when necessary.
