Job Title: Operating Room Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Operating Room Nurse to join our team at Ansible Government Solutions, LLC. As an Operating Room Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Function as an integral member of the surgical team, working closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Interface with patients, surgeons, and anesthesia staff in the surgical setting, providing clear and concise communication to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Implement the pre-operative plan of care, demonstrating knowledge of the responsibilities of the RN pre-operatively, intra-operatively, and post-operatively.
  • Scrubs and circulates surgical procedures independently, utilizing your expertise to ensure a safe and efficient operating room environment.
  • Work in partnership with the healthcare team to implement standards of care during the operative and immediate post-operative phase, adhering to the purpose, philosophy, and objectives of nursing.
  • Supervise care given and services rendered in the OR by other professional and non-professional staff, ensuring that all patients receive high-quality care.
  • Responsible for maintenance, care, and use of equipment used, applying principles of asepsis, therapeutic, and technical knowledge to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Assist in orientation of rotating surgical and anesthesia residents, and other nursing staff, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Document nursing interventions, incorporating the use of Deliverex, DHCP, and GUI, to ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
  • Provide family and patient education, empowering patients and their families to make informed decisions about their care.
Qualifications:
  • Completion of an accredited Registered Nurse academic program (BSN or ADN).
  • Current Registered Nurse licensure in at least one state, territory, or commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Three (3) years of recent Operating Room RN work experience is required.
  • No sponsorship available.

All candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, including sitting, standing, walking, lifting, squatting, bending, twisting, and reaching above shoulders during the work shift. Additionally, candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist, lift up to 20 lbs, carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance, push/pull with 30 lbs of force, and work in a fast-paced environment.
