Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Professional to join our team. As a Healthcare Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, exhibiting exceptional customer service, and working closely with our medical team to ensure seamless patient flow.
Key Responsibilities
- Exhibit high levels of customer service, compassion, professionalism, and empathy to all patients at all times, embracing the Harm Reduction philosophy of treatment for patients with Substance Use Disorder (SUD).
- Work closely with the center administrator and medical receptionist in scheduling appointments and overseeing patient flow in the office, practicing safe and healthy control methods while working with patients.
- Participate in provider meetings and staff meetings as determined by the Medical Director.
- Interpret test results to diagnose any health issues and provide feedback to patients.
- Counsel patients regarding medication compliance.
- Complete patient evaluations and physical exams with thorough, timely documentation to include coordination of care.
- Patient follow-up visits to include detailed, timely documentation including patients' progress with medication and/or treatment.
- Contact patients' PCPs and/or specialists when necessary.
- Review any unusual medication adjustments with the Medical Director.
Requirements
- EMR software experience.
- Current license with prescriptive authority in good standing.
- DEA Certificate.
- Prior experience with Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment preferred.
