At CSL Plasma, we are committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for our donors and staff. We are seeking a skilled Nurse-RN to join our team.
Responsibilities:- Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures under general supervision.
- Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff, including administering medication or treatments in accordance with licensure or certification.
- Conduct medical history reviews and interviews with donors to obtain necessary information to determine suitability to donate plasma.
- Collaborate with the Center Medical Director to respond to medically related questions and provide information to staff on donor suitability.
- Review test results and determine continued donor suitability, assessing donor symptoms that may result in the inability to continue donating.
- Notify and counsel donors regarding reactive test results, referring them to community facilities for follow-up and counseling as needed.
- Provide routine care following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and escalate critical medical situations to the Center Physician or local medical service providers as required.
- Graduation from a paramedic, nursing, physician assistant, chiropractic, medical school, or naturopathic medical training program.
- Current licensure or certification as an RN, MD, or DO in the state of employment or a reciprocal state (for NY only).
- Minimum of one (1) year relevant experience in a healthcare environment.
- Experience in a plasma or whole blood collection center or other regulated environment is preferred.
- Ability to make and analyze a physical assessment of heart, lung sounds, signs of drug use, etc.
