Conductor Trainee

BNSF Railway is seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Conductor Trainee to join our team. As a Conductor Trainee, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of freight trains across our vast network.
Key Responsibilities- Switch railcars and ensure safe train movement
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and management
- Monitor and report daily work
- Operate track switches and derails to change train routing
- Inspect cars and observe track conditions
As a Conductor Trainee, you will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with varying weather conditions. You will be required to walk and perform work on uneven surfaces, and work in a safety-sensitive environment with loud noise and fumes.
Requirements- At least 18 years of age
- Ability to report for duty at designated work location
- Ability to work safely in extreme weather conditions
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds
