Position Overview

Delva Tool & Machine (DTM), a subsidiary of CMT, is in search of a CMM Programmer for our operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and generating programs for coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to inspect and verify production materials and components. This role is ideal for individuals who possess a strong work ethic and a passion for excellence.

*This position operates Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The salary range for this role is between $80,000 and $95,000 annually, based on experience.*

Key Responsibilities

  • Program the CMM machine effectively.
  • Maintain accurate programming files on the server.
  • Operate the CMM machine and uphold CMM instructions for part setup and inspection.
  • Provide recommendations on programming modifications and product calibration for process enhancements.
  • Analyze and interpret technical documents, including blueprints and manuals, to ascertain specifications and inspection methodologies.
  • Collect and evaluate inspection data, performing necessary calculations to determine inspection outcomes and conduct first article inspections.
  • Communicate inspection results and part statuses clearly to team members, participating in Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA) activities.
  • Develop quality documentation and requirements to meet customer reliability objectives utilizing High QA software.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and systems.

Qualifications and Skills

  • A two-year associate degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in CNC Manufacturing Quality Control is required.
  • At least 2 years' experience with Zeiss Calypso software is essential.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001/AS9100 and quality standards is necessary.
  • Proficient in conducting tests to ensure compliance with established quality specifications.
  • Skilled in planning and developing standards, procedures, and best practices for quality assurance.
