Job Overview

  • Supervise a team of certified fire protection technicians responsible for the inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of fire protection systems.
  • Develop and manage work schedules, delegate tasks, and ensure the quality of work meets established performance metrics.
  • Provide training and resources to team members to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Conduct performance assessments and regular reviews with team members to promote professional growth.
  • Collaborate with management to uphold laboratory safety protocols and operational procedures.
  • Foster teamwork and recommend development opportunities for both personal and team advancement.
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders to effectively manage responsibilities.
  • Recognize the importance of collaboration with various departments and external organizations.
  • Support the organization in labor relations and grievance processes as needed.
  • Be prepared to respond to operational and maintenance issues at any time.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or 8 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
  • NICET Level III Certification in Fire Alarm Systems or Inspection & Testing of Water-Based Systems is required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "L" clearance, which necessitates U.S. Citizenship.
