Job Title: Fire Alarm Systems Technician

Western States Fire Protection is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Systems Technician to join our team. As a Fire Alarm Systems Technician, you will be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining fire alarm systems to ensure they are functioning properly and meet industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and test fire alarm systems to ensure they meet industry standards
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on fire alarm systems
  • Conduct site verifications of fire alarm installations
  • Coordinate with other disciplines, engineers, general contractors, and end users
  • Interact with clients, field personnel, and Fire Marshals
Requirements:
  • NICET I certification or willingness to receive certification within 1 year
  • OSHA 30 certification is a plus
  • Manufacturers certificates are preferred
  • 5 years of service or install experience is preferred
  • Solid knowledge of NFPA 72, Factory Mutual, and applicable codes is mandatory
  • Able to work independently and also in a group/training environment
  • Knowledgeable with programming and troubleshooting multiple fire alarm panel manufacturers
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Understanding of expenses and schedules
  • Possess a valid driver's license and be willing to travel within the state of Colorado
  • Willing to pass a post-offer drug test, background, and reference check
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Regular bending, reaching, climbing, and walking
